MINDSET X BIO:

Genre: Rock/Progressive/Metal

Dubbed by many as one of the hardest working bands in the area, Mindset X continues to evolve, create, and surpass even their own expectations. Their releases have spawned several heavily requested fan favorites such as "Atmosphere", "Suicide Girl", "Ghosts In Boston", "Day After Day", and "Shore". Boldly progressing and re-inventing themselves with each release, Mindset X has built a loyal fanbase and established themselves throughout New England. Released in April 2008,

"Thread" is the band's 4th full length release since its conception in late 2004. Thread contains 4 re-recorded songs from the previously released EP Bipolar, and 7 new songs. "This album is something we are going to be very proud of. It wasn't rushed and having no set time table gave us the ability to create with no pressure involved." Steven Scott explains. "I truly believe this is our best work to date."

...And they do it their own way.

8-song CD
Man, I don't know what they put in the water up there in wild, wooly New Hampshire--judging by Scissorfight, I'd guess cheap beer and top-shelf whiskey-but with a band like Mindset X, I have to suspect the addition of chemicals of a more, shall we say, cerebral nature? I mean, this here is some pretty smart music. It's also unique enough that I can't slap an easy label on it--"prog metal" is tempting, but it's incorrect.
